Are you a star gazer? Do you like your little luxuries? We’ve a real treat of a tour for you.
Come and experience the sheer magic of the Northern Lights, Iceland’s lustrous light show in the winter sky. This specially extended tour allows you many more hours getting acquainted with one of Iceland’s most celebrated and mischievous visitors, the dancing and entrancing Aurora Borealis.
We’ve thrown in lots of treats in this tour. First, we want to make sure you’re in tip top comfort. So, you get your own blanket to snuggle with in your reclining seat and extra leg room so that you can stretch out. Your seat also has its own table meaning you can dine in style on complimentary coffee, hot chocolate and water in addition to our tasty treat of a midnight snack. And each of our deluxe tour buses has a toilet on board.
Your trip will allow you many hours of Northern Lights magic and our friendly guides will share some fun facts and stories with you about the lights. Each tour is specially crafted to find the best place to go Northern Light spotting. Our many years of experience has taught us that by using detailed weather forecasts we can discover the best place in south west Iceland to see the lights. We do this before every one of our tours and so in this way each tour is different.
However, if the weather forecast predicts heavy cloud cover, we reserve the right to cancel. We do this at 18.00 hrs. on the day of your tour.
As soon as we’ve made the decision we contact hotels and booking agents, so it’s best for you to ask your hotel or tour desk at Hotel Saga, Loftleidir Hotel and Hilton Hotel to know whether we’ll be operating.
Whilst sharing this stunning show is one of our favorite things, we can’t guarantee sightings even if the “Northern Lights Deluxe” tour is operated (although our guides are working on their superhuman powers to create perfect Northern Lights conditions).
Two last things:
1) “Northern Lights Deluxe” tours are from the start of autumn darkness until the light nights of spring.
2) Tours on 31st December will miss the fireworks in Reykjavik. The Northern Lights tour lasts between 6 -8 hours and so we won’t be back in Reykjavik before midnight. If you want to see the fireworks in Reykjavik on New Year’s Eve, don’t book this tour on 31 December!
